Harry Steinberg is an award-winning entrepreneur who has built and managed several multi-million dollar businesses in the information technology industry. A visionary, innovator, and gifted conceptual thinker, Harry is a highly regarded business leader who has consistently been recognized for his outstanding achievements.
Harry has founded and managed several information technology companies over his career.
MACRO Systems, Inc., a management consulting and systems development firm and multi-million dollar enterprise, was acquired by CENCO Instruments (NYSE), subsequently repurchased and is known today as MACRO International.
As the founder of Computer Performance Associates, Inc. (CPA), with a focus on IT facilities management, he entered into several contracts within a short period of operation, including one with the Insurance Company of North America (INA)/CIGNA, which subsequently acquired the firm.
Harry founded American Cybernetic Corporation and has been responsible for the management and daily operations of numerous projects, including legacy transformation, content management, interactive websites, and other IT-related disciplines.
Throughout Harry's professional career, he has served clients in Federal, State, and Local Government as well as commercial entities, both domestic and international. He has managed well over a hundred projects involving ROI, strategic planning, business process management, systems modernization, and a wide spectrum of IT development activities, serving leaders in industries including public health, manufacturing, insurance, investment, higher education, distribution, and professional fields. Some highlights of Harry's professional career include:
- Principal Advisor to Russ Morrison, President, Standard & Poor's Corporation, for the design and development of investment tools. This included the development of the CUSIP system for the unique identification of all U.S. traded securities
- Director of Information Technology and Computer Center Operations, Howard University, Washington, D.C.
- Senior Advisor to Dr. Cleveland Dennard, founder and President, Washington Technical Institute (University of the District of Columbia) for computer center operations and curriculum development
- Assistant to Bernie Cornfield, President, Investors Overseas Services, Ltd, and Arthur Lipper, President, Arthur Lipper Corporation, in the establishment of stateside computer facilities and the development of investment research tools
- IBM Alliance Partner, receiving numerous awards for exceeding the sales quota for hardware and software products. In addition, he assisted the IBM executive staff in the remodeling of the alliance program, offering a more reliable evaluation feedback structure
Earlier in his career, Harry held several positions with Computer Usage Company as a programmer, analyst, and Director, Market Research Tools and Services. During that time, Harry was a senior designer and database manager for the National Smoking Study.
Harry earned a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the American University, Washington, D.C. with majors in finance and information technology.
